Occupational First Aid

The FETAC three day Occupational First Aid courses are intended for personnel who wish to become certified first aiders in their workplace. Topics covered include: responsibilities of a first-aider, patient approach and contacting the emergency services.

Duration: 3 Days
Participants: Up to 10 participants
Assessment: Written test, practical incident scenario, CPR – AED test
Accreditation: FETAC Level 5 Minor Award in Occupational First Aid 5N1207 – awarded by QQI

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Provide necessary first aid within the workplace
  • Deal with emergencies while awaiting the arrival of emergency services
  • Implement essential life-saving skills if required
